We are always consistent in everything we do, from the project presentation, to the quality of our work, to the overall look.
I began practicing interior design 30 years ago, a life-long passion that began in my teens. As a young man, I owned and operated a high-end men’s clothing store in Center City Philadelphia. My pursuit for the finest fabrics and men’s furnishings took me to Milan, Paris and London on a regular basis. My exposure to these extraordinary markets lead me to The Philadelphia College of Art to pursue my design studies; later, I received a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Joseph’s College. I broadened my studies at The Delaware Law School in Wilmington.
I feel my varied educational background truly has helped to set me apart from my peers because I am able to work successfully on all sides of the business; from writing a contract to coordinating the firm’s marketing efforts, to selecting fine fabrics and exotic finishes.
In 1980 I relocated to South Florida where I began learning the ropes, steadily growing a stable client base. Now, almost 30 years later, Shuster Design Associates has a staff of 12 talented people, its own prestigious building, while becoming known as a premier interior design firm throughout Florida and the United States. We are a family of professionals with a comfortable camaraderie that our clients can feel.
We are designers, not decorators. We avoid trends and gimmicks. Our focus is designing for the client, addressing their wants and needs, while maintaining our signature timeless approach.
These efforts are well noted, as the firm continues to receive awards, is recognized in renown “shelter” publications, has been featured on HGTV, and enjoys an excellent reputation in the design community.
While the majority of work is in South Florida, we have completed projects in Alabama, Atlanta, Seattle, St. Louis, Maryland, North Carolina, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, New York, New Canaan, Atlantic City, The Bahamas, and Switzerland.
